Jackie grew up in the small village of HatSiThong on the Mekong River in Northeast Thailand. Jackie’s natural talent with food developed early. At 9 years old she took over the family kitchen. When she entered Junior High she had already established herself as the finest cook in the region. She became responsible for providing lunch, each day, for the 200 students.
In later years, Jackie lived in the South, the North and Central Thailand and developed her cooking talents to include all the cuisines of Thailand. In 2010, Jackie moved to Canada with her own family.
On Canada Day, 2012, Jackie’s Thai opened in Eau Claire Market.
